Carlo Vogele is a director and animator, as well as a screenwriter. Born in Luxembourg, he studied film and theatre arts before focusing on animation. After graduating from Gobelins School, he worked seven years for Pixar in California, animating Toys, Cars, Monsters and Scottish Lords.
In his short films, he brings socks, fish and sausages to life in stop-motion (For Sock's Sake, Furtiva Lagrima, Wurst). Back in Europe, Carlo wrote and directed his first feature film Icarus, released in theatres in 2022, and adapted the novel Brown Morning by Franck Pavloff into a short film which premiered in Annecy in 2025.
He is currently developing his second feature, The Lion Queen.
